Men’s Soccer Wraps Up Regular Season with Scoreless Draw at New England College

HENNIKER, N.H.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team capped off the regular season with a 0-0 tie at New England College Saturday afternoon. With the result, the Lions capture the New England Collegiate Conference regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the NECC Tournament for the second-straight year.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene owned a narrow 9-8 edge in shots through 45 minutes of action but neither squad was able to find the back of the net.
- With both squads held scoreless in the second stanza, the Lions remained undefeated in conference action and registered their seventh shutout of the campaign.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Goalkeeper Antonio Soto Valente (Maracaibo, Venezuela.) managed seven saves in his eighth start of the season.
- Eastern Nazarene concluded the contest with 19 shots attempts and six corner kicks.
- Rookie Clide Neau (Easton, Mass.) paced the visitors with seven shots while Mattia Zuin (Mexico City, Mexico) fired four shots and Bryan Vargas (San Jose, Costa Rica) added three shots.
- New England College produced 15 shots and earned one corner kick on the day.
