Men's Soccer Falls to Western Connecticut State 4-1

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team wrapped up the weekend-long MCLA Invitational with a 4-1 setback against Western Connecticut State Sunday.

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Western Connecticut State scored three goals in the first half with Erik Lorent netting the match's opening goal at the 18-minute mark.
• Nikolas Chevres buried a feed from Lorent in the 27th minute for his first marker of the season.
• The Wolves widened the margin to 3-0 in the 34th minute as Chevres notched his second goal of the game.
• Western Connecticut State added a score in the 53rd minute as Payton Blynn collected his second tally of the fall.
• Eastern Nazarene got on the board in the 58th minute as Clide Neau (Easton, Mass.) picked up his team-leading second goal of the year.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Antonio Soto Valente (Maracaibo, Venezuela) posted three saves in his second start of the season in goal.
• Eastern Nazarene finished with seven shots in the contest while Western Connecticut State produced 14 shot attempts.
• The Wolves earned 10 corner kicks on the day and the Lions earned a pair of corner kicks.
