Men’s Soccer Lands Three on All-NECC Teams
MARSHFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team garnered three All-New England Collegiate Conference selections, announced the conference office Tuesday.
Edmilson Centeio (New Bedford, Mass.) earned All-NECC first team honors while Connor Hudson-Bryant (Weymouth, Mass.) was named to the second team and Florian Resch (St. Stefan, Austria) claimed third team accolades. Sophomore Anson Thibault (Durham, N.H.) was tabbed to the NECC Del Malloy Sportsmanship Team.
Centeio saw action in 16 matches this fall and started 15 games. He netted four goals and added one assist for nine points.
Hudson-Bryant is one of three players on the squad to start all 18 matches this season. He has tallied a pair of goals on the year, including one game-winner, while also converting his only penalty kick attempt.
Resch posted a 5-6-2 record between the pipes and registered three clean sheets on the year. He started 13 matches and appeared in 14 games. Resch sports a 1.59 goals-against-average on the season and allowed just 0.88 goals per contest in conference action.
Eastern Nazarene owns a 6-9-3 overall record and finished the regular season with a 4-2-2 league mark to earn the No. 3 seed in the New England Collegiate Conference Tournament. The Lions will face off against sixth-seeded Lesley in the first round of the NECC Tournament Tuesday, October 30.
