HENNIKER, N.H.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team tied 0-0 at New England College Saturday afternoon.
The Lions progress to 2-6-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) with the result. The Pilgrims move to 4-4-2 on the year and 1-1-1 in league action with the outcome.
The two teams battled to a scoreless first half with Eastern Nazarene holding a narrow 8-7 edge in shots through 45 minutes of play.
New England College fired 12 shots in the second stanza while the Lions managed four attempts.
Through regulation, Eastern Nazarene produced 12 shots while the Pilgrims attempted 19.
Neither team found the back of the net in the two overtime periods as the Lions recorded their first shutout since 2016.
The visitors finished with 17 shot attempts on the day while the hosts concluded the contest with 26 shots.
