CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team absorbed a 3-0 loss at Pine Manor in non-conference action Thursday afternoon.
The Lions slide to 0-12-0 on the season while the Gators improve to 7-4-1 overall with the result.
The home side captured a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute as Jose Corrales drilled a shot from the top of the box that glanced off the left post and into the back of the net for his sixth tally of the year.
Pine Manor held a narrow 1-0 edge at the break after outshooting Eastern Nazarene 5-3 in the first half.
The Gators extended their advantage to 2-0 in the 71st minute. Jahver Gayle scored his third goal of the season off of a feed from Corrales.
The hosts tacked on their third score of the contest in the 74th minute as Noah Nixon bagged an unassisted goal for his first of the fall.
The Lions capped off the match with five shots while Pine Manor posted 17 attempts on the day.
Sebastian Arboleda (Barranquilla, Colombia), Nabil Chamoun (Walpole, Mass.), Joao Costa (Framingham, Mass.), Sunil Lepcha (Charlotte, N.C.), and Anthony Monteiro (Stoughton, Mass.) all recorded one shot in the game.
Rookie Tim Eddings (Endicott, N.Y.) finished with one save in his sixth start of the season between the pipes.
