Hansen, Nelson Named All-CCC; Men’s Soccer Earns Team Sportsmanship Award
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Senior Scott Hansen (Middletown Springs, Vt.) and freshman Andrew Nelson (Burtonsville, Md.) each earned All-Commonwealth Coast Conference honors while the Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team received the Commonwealth Coast Conference Team Sportsmanship Award for the second consecutive year and eighth time in program history, as announced by the league office Friday.
Nelson was selected to the All-CCC second team after leading the Lions and ranking fourth in the conference with 19 points on the season. He notched eight goals during the fall to pace Eastern Nazarene and rank second in the league. Nelson started all 17 matches in which he appeared in this season.
Hansen received All-CCC honorable mention for the third year in a row. He collected 17 points during the 2014 campaign to rank second on the team. Hansen tallied six goals and dished out a team-best five assists. His two game-winning markers also ranked tops on the Lions. The senior started all 18 matches this season for Eastern Nazarene.
The Lions posted a 5-12-1 overall record with a 1-7-1 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
