QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene men's soccer absorbed a 1-0 loss to Western New England on Homecoming weekend Saturday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The two squads entered the midway break of the game leveled at 0-0.
Western New England registered eight shots in the opening 45 minutes of action while Eastern Nazarene mustered a pair of first-half shots. The Golden Bears held a 6-1 margin in corner kicks earned in the first frame.
The visitors struck first to claim a 1-0 lead in the 50th minute. Ryan Williams converted a penalty kick to pick up his fourth tally of the season.
Western New England maintained its lead for the remainder of the contest to secure the win.
The Golden Bears finished the game with a 19-4 gap in total shots including a 4-0 edge in shots on frame and a 9-2 advantage in corners.
Jake Johnson (Mount Bethel, Pa.) stopped six shots between the posts for Eastern Nazarene on the day. Domenick Villano picked up his seventh shutout of the season in goal for the visitors.
Scott Hansen (Middletown Spring, Vt.) paced the Lions with two shots in the match while Luke Wooster (Quincy, Mass.) and Will Campbell (Anchorage, Alaska) each recorded one.
