WEST HARTFORD, Conn.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's lacrosse team absorbed a 20-0 loss at St. Joseph (Conn.) Wednesday afternoon.
The Lions fall to 0-4 on the year with the setback while the Bluejays improve to 3-2 overall with the win.
Jimmy Keuther (Marshfield, Mass.) finished with two shots on goal and two ground balls. Ryan Almeida (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) recorded a team-high five ground balls while Kellen Lee (Henderson, Nev.) collected three ground balls.
The home team netted six goals in the first quarter and added four in the second frame. St. Joseph tallied three goals in the third period and produced seven goals in the fourth.
Almeida posted 16 saves in his fourth start between the pipes and Walter Stockwell (Hyde Park, Mass.) tallied six saves in his first appearance of the season.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene travels to the Big Apple to face Mt. St. Mary March 24.
