WESTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's lacrosse team fell 15-0 at Regis in the first contest in program history Monday evening.
The Lions sink to 0-1 on the year with the result while the Pride improves to 1-1 overall.
The home side netted five goals in the first quarter and tacked on four goals in the second frame to hold a 9-0 lead at the halftime break.
Regis tallied four goals in the third and added a pair of scores in the fourth quarter to lock up its first victory of the spring.
Eastern Nazarene generated 28 shots on the night while the Pride fired 46.
Devano Clarke (Lucea, Jamaica) paced the visitors with eight shots, four shots on goal, and six ground balls. Jimmy Keuther (Marshfield, Mass.) registered six shots and grabbed four ground balls while Jamar Griggs (Baltimore, Md.) also recorded six shots. Andrew James (Hyannis, Mass.) chipped in with four shots and five ground balls on the evening.
Between the pipes, rookie Ryan Almeida (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) racked up 11 saves.
Liam Donovan led Regis with five goals and one assist. Anthony Marsella finished with four goals and three assists while Ryan Richardson contributed with a goal and three helpers.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will host Emmanuel March 9 in the program's first-ever home game.
