Men’s Golf Places Five on MASCAC All-Academic Team
WESTFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's golf team earned five selections to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, announced the league office Wednesday.
Student-athletes who compete in varsity sports offered by each of the MASCAC institutions during the course of the Winter and Spring 2020 athletic season and have achieved a 3.20 cumulative or semester-based grade point average during the semester are eligible for selection to the Winter/Spring All-Academic Team.
Brandon Brown (Oxford, Pa.), Michael Dietz (North Charleston, S.C.), Chris Jaskiewicz (Oakdale, Conn.), Jimmy Keuther (Marshfield, Mass.), and Jacob Waldroop (Newland, N.C.) all repeat as MASCAC All-Academic honorees after earning spots on the Fall/Winter All-Academic List.
Waldroop receives Academic All-Conference accolades for the third-straight year while Dietz collects Academic All-Conference laurels for the second year in a row.
The Lions recently wrapped up their first year as an associate member of the MASCAC and finished eighth at the 2019 MASCAC Championships in the fall.
Dietz claimed a spot on the MASCAC All-Conference second team with an eighth-place finish at the two-day MASCAC Championships in October while Keuther was tabbed to the MASCAC Men's Golf Sportsmanship Team in the fall.
