Men’s Golf Lands Six on MASCAC All-Academic Team
WESTFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's golf team earned six selections to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, announced the league office Thursday.
Student-athletes who compete in championship varsity sports offered by each of the MASCAC institutions during the course of the Fall and Winter 2019 athletic season and have achieved a 3.20 cumulative or semester-based grade point average during the semester are eligible for selection to the Fall/Winter All-Academic Team.
Senior Jacob Waldroop (Newland, N.C.) picked up his third career All-Academic honor while Michael Dietz (North Charleston, S.C.) received his second All-Academic nod.
Brandon Brown (Oxford, Pa.), Chris Jaskiewicz (Oakdale, Conn.), Jimmy Keuther (Marshfield, Mass.) and Colby Knott (West Warwick, R.I.) all collected their first career All-Academic accolades.
The Lions are in their first year as an associate member of the MASCAC and finished eighth at the 2019 MASCAC Championships in the fall.
Dietz claimed a spot on the MASCAC All-Conference second team with an eighth-place finish at the two-day MASCAC Championships while Keuther was tabbed to the MASCAC Men's Golf Sportsmanship Team this fall.
