Men’s Golf Sits in Ninth Place After Day One of MASCAC Championships
WEST BOYLSTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's golf team ranks ninth after the opening round of play at the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championships Saturday at Wachusett Country Club.
The Lions posted a team score of 381 to sit in ninth-place while the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts finished with a combined mark of 366 to own eighth. Springfield College shot a 300 to lead the competition as Westfield State is right behind with a 307 on day one.
Michael Dietz (North Charleston, S.C.) carded a 76 to pace Eastern Nazarene and head into day two tied for seventh in the individual standings.
Jacob Waldroop (Newland, N.C.) fired a 79 while Brandon Brown (Oxford, Pa.) finished with a 109 and Jimmy Keuther (Marshfield, Mass.) tallied a 117.
Springfield's Mike Strong sits atop the individual leaderboard with a mark of 72 while teammate Jake Raichle shot a 73 in the first round.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene will wrap up play at the MASCAC Championships 6 at Wachusett Country Club in West Boylston, Mass.
