Men’s Golf Competes at CCC Championship Qualifier Tuesday
HINGHAM, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's golf team hosted the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship Qualifier Tournament Tuesday at the South Shore Country Club for the first time in program history. The Lions placed seventh in the team standings with a combined score of 432 strokes.
Connor Simpson (Haverhill, Mass.) paced Eastern Nazarene with a 92. Andrew Snodderly (Hagerstown, Md.) carded a 93 on the afternoon.
Rob Dukes (Spencer, Mass.) and Will Francis (Midlothian, Va.) also represented the Lions Tuesday.
Western New England placed first with a team score of 308 and will host the four-team, two-day Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship in the spring.
Endicott, Nichols and the University of New England all clinched berths to the CCC Championship Tournament. The Gulls posted a team mark of 316 while the Bison finished with 319. The Nor'easters edged Wentworth by one stroke to claim the last spot in the title meet with a 325.
The Leopards recorded a 326 and Roger Williams scored a 333 on the day.
Wentworth's Dan Howard led all golfers with a one-under-par 71 on the course.
