Men’s Golf Opens Spring Slate at Western New England Invitational
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's golf team earned a 11th-place finish at the Western New England Invitational Thursday at Veterans Memorial Golf Club in its first event of the spring.
Jared Toney (Manassas, Va.) carded team-low 95 on the day to tie for 47th overall, surpassing his season-best by four strokes.
Hunter Hill (North Wales, Pa.) shot a 112 while Daniel Compitiello (East Northport, N.Y.) was close behind with a 113. Scott Hansen (Middletown Springs, Vt.) and Drew Lester (Tulsa, Okla.) also represented the Lions at the tournament.
The host Golden Bears captured the team title with a collective score of 308 and garnered the individual champion John Abbott who shot a one-over par 73.
Eastern Nazarene combined to post a team score of 438.
