Men’s Golf Tees Off 2014-15 Campaign at CCC Qualifier Tournament
OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine- The Eastern Nazarene College men's golf team opened the season with a seventh-place finish at the Commonwealth Coast Conference qualifier tournament Thursday.
The University of New England hosted the tournament at the par-72 Dunegrass Country Club.
Rookie Jared Toney (Manassas, Va.) paced the Lions with a mark of 99 on the day. Hunter Hill (North Wales, Pa.) and Michael Pepin (Braintree, Mass.) each carded a 108 while Andrew Snodderly (Hagerstown, Md.) turned in a score of 124.
Endicott, Western New England, Nichols and Wentworth finished in the top four to secure a spot in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship in the spring.
Endicott's Austin Teal posted the lowest score in the tournament, a one-over-par 73.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will compete at the Elms College Invitational September 24 at the Westover Golf Course in Granby, Massachusetts.
