ENC Golf Opens Season at CCC Qualifier Tournament
MANCHESTER, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene golf team kicked off its first varsity campaign at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Qualifier Tournament Thursday at Essex Country Club.
Eastern Nazarene finished seventh while Western New England claimed the top spot.
Western New England, Nichols, Endicott and the University of New England placed in the top four and move on to compete at the 2014 CCC Golf Championship in April.
Hunter Hill (North Wales, Pa.), Shawn Wright (Houghton, N.Y.), Gregory Parenteau (Wolcott, Conn.) and Tyler Perron (Plympton, Mass.) all represented the Lions.
Hill carded a 121 to lead all Eastern Nazarene golfers on the day. Wright finished with a 126 while Parenteau turned in a score of 130.
The Lions return to the links September 26 when they participate in the Westfield State Invitational held at Tekoa Country Club in Westfield, Mass.
