Bio

Samuel Salem recently completed his first season as assistant coach with the Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball program.

Salem's responsibilities include player development, recruiting, film exchange and coordinating travel arrangements. 

Salem joins the Lions after graduating from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois with a degree in history and secondary education.

A native of Maple Grove, Minnesota, Salem played three seasons for the Trojans and served as team captain. He started in 53 games while seeing action in 91 contests over three years at Trinity International.

While at Trinity International, he volunteered in numerous community service ventures including sorting and collecting clothing for local families in need and the Salvation Army. Salem was also part of a group which held weekly gatherings with the Northwest Suburban Special Education District to help promote awareness and acceptance of students with special needs.

Salem spent seven months during the 2013-14 academic year student-teaching at Alan B. Shepard Middle School in Deerfield, Illinois and Waukegan High School in Waukegan, Illinois.

He is currently pursuing his Master's in secondary education at Eastern Nazarene.
