Lynch, Doran Garner All-Commonwealth Coast Conference Men’s Basketball Honors
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Seniors Christian Lynch (Alpharetta, Ga.) and Corey Doran (Fairfield, Calif.) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team collected All-Commonwealth Coast Conference accolades, announced the league office Monday.
Lynch was tabbed to the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference second team while Doran earned a spot on the third team.
In a break-out season, Lynch started all 25 games and ranked sixth in the conference with 18.4 points per game. He also ranked eighth in the league with 3.2 assists per contest, fifth in the conference with 1.6 steals per game, and added 5.2 rebounds per contest.
Lynch shot 50% from the floor in the regular season as he connected on 172-of-344 attempts. He drained 11 treys on 36 chances and converted 105-of-129 attempts from the free throw stripe.
In the Lions' 89-75 victory at Curry to close out the regular season, Lynch poured in 26 points to reach 1,000 career points. He became the 32nd player in program history to amass 1,000 career points and joined his older brother Eric Lynch '16 on the list.
This season, Doran has recorded two double-doubles and ranks second in the conference in field-goal shooting accuracy at 61.3%. He also ranks second on the team with 16.7 points per game and leads Eastern Nazarene with 5.8 rebounds per contest.
Doran has seen action in all 25 games this season for the Lions while making 24 starts.
Eastern Nazarene posted a 12-13 overall record with a 9-9 league mark. Making their fifth-straight trip to the postseason, the Lions grabbed the No. 6 seed in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament and will square off against third-seeded Roger Williams in the quarterfinals February 21.
