Men’s Basketball Adds Seven Newcomers for 2014-15 Campaign
QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene men's basketball head coach Jim Aller has announced the addition of seven incoming student-athletes.
Listed alphabetically, the Lions' incoming group consists of Dino Celadon, Seydi Diop, Corey Doran, Carlos Hamlett, Patrick Michel, Anthony Petrilli and Eddie Ramirez III.
Celadon is a 6-foot-3 guard/forward from Kingston, New York where he currently attends Coleman Catholic High School. He averaged 20 points per game as a senior and was named to the All-State Class D first team.
Diop is a 6-foot-5 forward out of Silver Springs, Maryland where he averaged five points per game and seven rebounds per contest at Wheaton High School.
Doran is a 6-foot-5 forward hailing from Fairfield, California. He is transferring from Solano Community College after playing the past two seasons for the Falcons. Doran averaged eight points per game and three boards per contest in his final season at Solano Community College.
Hamlett is a 6-foot-1 guard out of Roswell, Georgia and is transferring from Toccoa Falls College. He averaged 10.6 points per game and 3.0 rebounds per game as a freshman for the Eagles.
A 6-foot-4 guard/forward, Michel is a product of Cypress Bay High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In his senior season, Michel averaged 14 points per game and 11 rebounds per contest for the Lightning.
Petrilli is a 6-foot point guard transferring from Santa Barbara City College. He averaged six points per game and two rebounds per game as a sophomore for the Vaqueros.
Ramirez is a forward standing at 6-foot-6 from Reedley, California where he is transferring from Reedley College. Last season he was tabbed to the All-Central Valley Conference second team after averaging 9.4 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game for the Tigers.
Eastern Nazarene posted a 19-6 overall record in 2013-14 and finished second in the Commonwealth Coast Conference standings with a 13-5 league mark. The Lions reached the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament for the second consecutive season.
