Matt Rodriguez joined the Eastern Nazarene College baseball program as a volunteer assistant coach in September 2015. Rodriguez will work primarily with the Lions' catchers and hitters.

Rodriguez is a 2013 graduate of Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts. He was a four-year starter behind the dish for the Colonels where he was an All-Commonwealth Coast Conference selection as a sophomore and junior. Rodriguez paced the conference in home runs and ranked in the top-10 in RBIs as a sophomore and junior.

Last spring, Rodriguez served as an assistant coach at North Quincy High School where he served as the Raiders’ hitting and catching coach. He is currently the head coach of the under-10 team at the Atlantic Baseball Club in Pembroke, Massachusetts.

A native of Quincy, Massachusetts, Rodriguez was a four-year starting catcher at North Quincy High School. He was an all-star selection as a junior and senior and was voted the team’s Defensive Player of the Year.
