COBLESKILL, N.Y.- The Eastern Nazarene College baseball team absorbed an 18-10 setback at SUNY Cobleskill Friday afternoon to bow out of the North Atlantic Conference Tournament. The Lions conclude the 2024 campaign with a 13-21-1 overall record.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Eastern Nazarene chalked up three runs in the top of the first inning to establish an early 3-0 advantage.
  • The Lions plated a pair of runs in the second to extend their lead to 5-0.
  • Eastern Nazarene tacked on one run in the third inning to stretch the gap to 6-0 as Ruddy Vidal (Barahona, Dominican Republic) launched a solo home run.
  • SUNY Cobleskill produced three runs in the home half of the third to cut the deficit to 6-3.
  • The Lions picked up a run in the fourth inning to grab a 7-3 edge.
  • The Fighting Tigers tallied two runs in the fifth to trim the margin to 7-5.
  • SUNY Cobleskill generated seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to jump ahead 12-7.
  • The home side added five runs in the seventh frame to widen its lead to 17-7.
  • The Fighting Tigers scored once in the eighth to push their advantage to 18-7.
  • Eastern Nazarene manufactured three runs in the top of the ninth but ultimately fell 18-10.

  • Elvis Rojas (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) added three base hits and scored two runs.
  • Frank Landeiro (Orlando, Fla.) notched three base knocks and one run scored.
  • Francis Ferguson (Jefferson, Mass.) and Ruddy Vidal (Barahona, Dominican Republic) both recorded two hits, one RBI, and one run scored.
  • Eduardo Labour (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) chipped in with a pair of hits, two RBIs, and one run scored.
  • Liam Bruskewicz (Granite Springs, N.Y.) started on the mound and pitched four innings. Kelvin Cortez (Corona, N.Y.) worked one inning of relief and posted one strikeout.
