Baseball Trades 5-4 Decisions at SUNY Poly

SCHOHARIE, N.Y.- The Eastern Nazarene College baseball team split a North Atlantic Conference doubleheader at SUNY Poly Sunday, prevailing 5-4 before dropping a 5-4 decision.

GAME ONE
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Eastern Nazarene chalked up two runs in the second inning to seize a 2-0 lead.
• The Lions plated a pair of runs in the third to double their advantage to 4-0.
• The visitors tallied a run in the sixth to stretch the margin to 5-0.
• SUNY Poly scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to narrow the deficit to 5-2.
• The Wildcats managed two runs in the bottom of the seventh as Eastern Nazarene escaped with a 5-4 win.

• SUNY Poly produced three runs in the bottom of the third to snag a 3-0 lead.
• Eastern Nazarene manufactured three runs in the top of the sixth to tie the game at 3-3.
• The Wildcats answered with one run in the home half of the sixth frame to capture a 4-3 edge.
• The Lions clawed back to score once in the seventh inning to level the contest at 4-4.
• SUNY Poly chalked up a run in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with a 5-4 victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
