Baseball Tripped Up at Tufts Tuesday, 6-3
MEDFORD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College baseball team dropped a 6-3 decision at Tufts Tuesday evening.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene snagged a 1-0 edge with a run in the top of the second inning. Anderson Jimenez (Lowell, Mass.) scampered home from third base as Brandon Guerrero (Boston, Mass.) reached base on a fielder's choice.
- The home team answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the second to claim a 2-1 lead.
- The Jumbos tacked on a run in the fourth to double their advantage to 3-1.
- Tufts scored three runs in the seventh inning to extend the gap to 6-1.
- The Lions produced a pair of runs in the top of the eighth to trim the deficit to 6-3. Frank Landeiro (Orlando, Fla.) crossed the dish on a balk before Anderson Jimenez (Lowell, Mass.) scored as Elvis Rojas (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) reached first base on a fielder's choice.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Elvis Rojas (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) posted a pair of hits, drove in one RBI, and stole a base.
- Anderson Jimenez (Lowell, Mass.) finished with two runs scored and one base knock.
- Jon Tessier (Coronado, Calif.) threw 6.2 innings and recorded nine strikeouts. Dale Beneway (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) worked 1.1 innings of relief and fanned one batter.
