Hunter Leroux-Porter Tabbed NECC Baseball Player of the Week
MANSFIELD, Mass.- Sophomore Hunter Leroux-Porter (Greenland, N.H.) of the Eastern Nazarene College baseball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week, announced the league office Monday.
Leroux-Porter racked up 10 hits, 10 RBIs, six runs scored, and a pair of stolen bases on the week. He collected a base hit in all six of the Lions' games while registering an RBI in five of six contests. The sophomore batted .417 on the week to go with an on-base percentage of .481 and a slugging percentage of .708.
In Eastern Nazarene's win over Bridgewater (Va.), Leroux-Porter tallied two hits and stole two bases while adding one run scored. In the Lions' victory over Johnson & Wales, he drove in five RBI and belted his first collegiate home run.
Leroux-Porter paces the conference with 19 RBIs to go with 14 base knocks and nine runs scored.
The Lions boast an 8-3 overall record and will open conference play March 13 at Mitchell.
