Baseball’s Zachary Carmody Earns All-Commonwealth Coast Conference Second Team Honors
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Junior Zachary Carmody (Babylon, N.Y.) of the Eastern Nazarene College baseball team has been named to the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference second team at the utility position, announced the league office Friday.
Carmody appeared in all 36 games for the Lions this spring, playing 22 games at second base and 14 contests at third base.
The junior infielder hit .333 on the year and paced the team with 41 base knocks. He scored 24 runs and drove in 20 RBIs. Carmody ranked third in the conference with 12 doubles this season while registering three stolen bases.
Carmody finished the season with 53 defensive putouts to go with 52 assists while also factoring into 13 double plays.
Eastern Nazarene posted a 17-19 overall record and a 2-14 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
