ENC Baseball Adds Armand Vizari to Incoming Group
QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene head coach Addison Rouse has announced the addition of Armand Vizari to the program's incoming crop of players.
Vizari is an outfielder from Cranston, Rhode Island where he attends Cranston West High School.
He is a two-time Rhode Island Baseball Coaches Association all-star and was selected to the all-division team as a junior.
As a junior, he led his squad in runs, hits and doubles as the leadoff batter. This spring he leads the team with a .357 batting average and has played primarily in right field.
Vizari has represented the Falcons on the diamond for the past three years. He is also a two-year member of the Cranston West soccer and wrestling teams.
Vizari owns a 4.2 grade-point average at Cranston West and earned academic all-state honors earlier this year for wrestling. He plans on majoring in biology at Eastern Nazarene.
"In Armand, we are getting an elite athlete, as evidenced by the three sports he participated in during high school. We love kids with that type of versatility and athleticism, and he will definitely fit in well with how we like to play the game. He's a prototypical lead-off guy at the college level and we hope he can be a key presence at the top of our lineup for years to come. We are thrilled to add him to the incoming class and we can't wait for him to arrive on campus in the fall," said Rouse.
The Eastern Nazarene baseball program's incoming group consists of 11 players with the addition of Vizari. He joins Bobby Barber, Joe Cardaropoli, Ryan Connolly, Brian Houle, Brandon Loran, Caleb Lynch, Joe Meli, Michael Rupp, Eric Shea and Andy Vasquez as the Lions' newest crop of players.
