Rachelle (Leger) Fickess (’97) graduated from ENC with a bachelor's degree in Social Work. A vital member on the ENC Women’s Cross Country team, she placed 2nd in the 1994 CCC Championship and 1st in the 1995 CCC Championship Meet.

After graduation, Rachelle went on to receive her master's degree in Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY.

For the next ten years, Rachelle worked as a preventive social worker for a non-profit that provided counseling for women and children suffering in domestic violence, sexual abuse, and drug addiction. She has received numerous awards, including the Star in the Southern Sky Award, the KEAP award, and a nomination for the Pinnacle Award.
