Bio

John Furey ('84) was a four-year member of the ENC Men's Cross Country Team from 1980 to 1983. He finished first in 10 races throughout his collegiate career. He was a four-time Seaboard Conference All-Star, three-time Seaboard Conference runner-up and claimed the Seaboard Conference crown as a junior before finishing 12th at the NCCAA National Championship meet.

After graduating from Eastern Nazarene College, Fury went on to coach cross country at the collegiate level. He held head coaching positions at Eastern Nazarene, Emerson, and is currently in his fifth season as the head cross country coach at Quincy College. As a collegiate cross country coach, Fury guided teams to two NAIA regional runner-up finishes and five conference titles.
