Bio
Jerry Perera (’79) earned a degree in mathematics while putting together an impressive four-year career as a member of the ENC men’s basketball team. His decorated career included 110 games where he amassed 1,332 career points to go along with 496 career rebounds. His 51.5% career field-goal percentage ranks among the best in program history and helped him earn a spot on the NCCAA All-American team in back to back seasons as well as on the Associated Press’ All-American Honorable Mention team in his senior year.
After graduation, his basketball talent led him across the globe as a member of the Athletes in Action USA/Canada team. He also earned a spot in the NBA SoCal Summer Pro League before returning to ENC as the men’s basketball coach and as an instructor of mathematics.
Jerry continued his education earning a graduate degree in International Relations Diplomacy from LIU Brooklyn and a Masters in Management from Boston University.
