Bio

Brad Mountain (07) came to Eastern Nazarene College with a mission to play baseball. His teammates described him as a hard worker, inspiring them to maximize their ability and showing them that if they wanted to take the game to the next level, they needed to put in the effort.

Mountain made ENC sports history March 21, 2006 when he threw a no-hitter in a home game against Massachusetts Maritime Academy. It was the first no-hitter in the program’s 47 years of play and the second highest number of strikeouts in a game as he fanned 18 batters. In a previous start against Wentworth Institute of Technology, Mountain carried a perfect game into the final inning. Although the first batter of the inning spoiled it when he led off with a single, Mountain pitched through to a victory.

Mountain owns program records for complete games pitched with 24, innings pitched with 273 and two-thirds, and strikeouts with 304 K’s.

He earned All-Commonwealth Coast Conference first team honors as a sophomore, junior and senior while also collecting honorable mention as a rookie. Mountain was also a two-time All-New England Region selection.

Mountain ranked nationally in each of his four years with the Crusaders: 18th in 2004 for victories, 17th in 2005 and 18th in 2007 for strikeouts-per-nine-innings, and 61st in 2006 for ERA.

Currently living in Collingswood, New Jeresey, Brad works for American Express as a Corporate Sales Manager. He keeps active playing baseball locally in New Jersey for a college summer league, coaching youth baseball, and participating in a growing inner-city church in Philadelphia called EPIC church. Brad enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Caroline, relaxing on the beach, playing golf, and hanging out with family, especially his nephew Trey.
