Eastern Nazarene Places 15 on CCC Spring Academic All-Conference Team
QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene boasted 15 selections to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Spring Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office Friday.
QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene boasted 15 selections to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Spring Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office Friday.
The Academic All-Conference honor rewards varsity student-athletes who attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher. The Spring Academic All-Conference Team encompasses sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes who participated in the sports of baseball, men's and women's basketball, golf, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, and men's tennis.
The conference recognized a total of 299 student-athletes from the 10 member institutions. Of the selections, 79 student-athletes also picked up all-conference accolades in their respective sport in the winter and spring.
The Lions’ baseball and men’s tennis squads led the way with six selections each, including all-conference performers Tim Luz (Cumberland, R.I.), Austin Steelman (Darlington, Md.) and Nick Thompson (York, Pa.). The Eastern Nazarene men’s basketball, women’s basketball and softball team each boasted one honoree as Jake Cramer (Syracuse, N.Y.), Ace Carradine (Honolulu, Hawaii) and Abigail Moore (Sheridan, Calif.) represented their respective sports.
Eastern Nazarene had a total of 48 student-athletes recognized with the Academic All-Conference honor during the 2012-13 academic year after 33 earned the distinction in the fall.
