Eastern Nazarene’s Christian Garcia, Dominique Santos Named NSCA All-Americans
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- Eastern Nazarene College senior Christian Garcia (Miami, Fla.) and junior Dominique Santos (Lancaster, Calif.) have been chosen as NSCA All-Americans, as the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) published its yearly list of recipients. The honor recognizes a student-athlete's athletic accomplishments and his or her dedication to strength and conditioning.
Garcia appeared in all 27 games this season for the Lions' men's basketball team and finished his collegiate career with 185 points, 153 rebounds, 52 assists, and 36 steals.
"Chris was always ready to put forth his best effort in the weight room and on the court. His consistency, work ethic, and willingness to go above and beyond truly set him apart," said ENC's head strength and conditioning coach Kylie Waldroop.
Santos saw action in all 12 contests this spring for the Eastern Nazarene softball team. She led the squad with seven walks while racking up eight hits and seven runs scored. Santos eclipsed the 100-career-hit mark in the Lions' 8-3 win over Concordia-Moorhead March 3 in Florida.
"Dominique is the type of athlete that gives her all in everything that she does. She pushes herself and her teammates to get better each and every day. Dominique is determined, loyal, passionate, and hungry for success," commented Waldroop.
